Welcome to

Holmesburg Family Medicine Associates

Holmesburg Family Medicine Associates was founded in 1981 by Drs. Stan Roman and Joseph Pongonis. Over the course of the ensuing decades, the practice grew to become one of the most prestigious family medical practices in Northeast Philadelphia. Upon Dr. Pongonis' retirement in 2019, the practice was assumed under the partnership of Dr. Richard Berger and Dr. Rocco Costabile, who have a combined total of over 25 years practicing at Holmesburg.
Under the leadership of Holmesburg's current physicians, it presently exists as one of the largest privately owned family medicine practices in all of Philadelphia. Holmesburg Family Medicine presently sits near the intersection of Rhawn and Frankford, adjacent to the EPIC Urgent Care center, as well as a multidiscipline medical center known as "The Center for Medical Excellence" which houses doctors of a multitude of specialities, as well as physical therapy and radiology.

Dr. Rocco Costabile

We regret to inform patients that as of 12/31/2021 Dr. Costabile is no longer with the practice.
